This is black jadeite jade(wuji. 乌鸡). This is a special kind of Jade called "black-bone chicken". People believe this kind of jade can ward off evil spirits and attract wealth. If there is a yellow color, it called Yellow Feather black-bone Chicken. The yellow represents double wealth and ward off evil spirits.

All don't have a cracks nor hairlines. They may have cotton lines, cotton areas, and cotton spots.
Each small Buddha carving more or less has some wax residue,
mostly around the carved edges and crevices. This is not wax
immersed and pressured into the jadeite, but leftover wax used
during the polishing process.
As shown in the back view, the jade itself is clean and free of wax.
Due to the intricate details and small size of these pieces, it is hard
to completely remove all wax from carving.
