One of my customers wrote this amazing story on Instagram. It is a true store. That makes it so powerful. And she did mention my store name in one Instagram reply.  If you are interested, you can check this link.

After asking her permission, I repost this here. Here is what she wrote:

There are moments in life where you must believe that events that occur which defy logic and reason are somehow divinely guided. While I recall reading that if a Jade bracelet ever cracks in half it proves that an accident or calamity is absorbed by the Jade and will protect the person wearing it, 5 days ago I was hit by a truck while running. I recall being in such a state of gratitude right before the accident occurred knowing that my early morning run awarded me the freedom and inner peace that set my day up for success. I am hyper-vigilant when I run and often times will wait through multiple light cycles to cross busy streets if I feel traffic is not going in my favor. This particular morning I had the green light, the walk sign, and I made sure there were no cars indicating a plan to turn into my lane of traffic as I crossed the street. At the last second, a truck veered into my lane and turned the corner while I watched in utter disbelief as he hit my body. At that moment I felt a disassociation with my physical body as the vehicle struck me and I landed in the street. I watched as the back tire ran over my left foot/ankle. It’s amazing how the perception of time changes in that instant. The accident happened so fast, yet I had time to think. Why doesn’t he see me? Why isn’t he stopping? I know I had the walk sign. My ankle looks deformed now, but I have to get up and run to avoid getting hit by another vehicle. As I made it to safety and emergency personnel arrived on the scene I calmly answered every question and irrationally thought about not wanting to go to trauma at the hospital I work at. My car is parked in 2-hour parking; I should go get it first. I have no makeup on, I must look awful. My new Nike running shirt is destroyed and this is the first time I wore it. I can’t believe I only finished 5 miles today. When my shirt was removed and the pieces of Jade fell out I knew immediately that it wasn’t my body that was broken. X-rays would reveal nothing but old fractures while medical staff just stared in disbelief. I walked away with some road rash, a swollen foot/ankle, a sore back, and perhaps a slightly bruised, but very grateful spirit.
